Founded in 1993, FUSION is a nonprofit organization in Federal Way, Washington, dedicated to providing safe housing and comprehensive support services for families experiencing homelessness. FUSION operates 24 transitional housing units and the 90-bed Pete Andersen FUSION Family Center, offering families temporary shelter and guidance toward self-sufficiency. Through professional case management, financial literacy training, and job readiness programs, including the Poverty Bay Café culinary training, FUSION equips families with the skills and resources needed to secure permanent housing and livable-wage employment. Additional funding and community engagement are supported through FUSION Décor Boutique and the Poverty Bay Café, which also raise awareness and attract volunteers. Since its founding, FUSION has helped over 200 families transition from homelessness to stability, with more than 85% successfully obtaining permanent housing.
