Description

The Homeless Advocacy Project (HAP), part of The Bar Association of San Francisco’s Justice & Diversity Center, provides legal and supportive social services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness or facing an imminent risk of homelessness.

HAP focuses on practical legal and stability-related needs, including federal disability benefit and SSI advocacy, eviction defense, immigration documentation, and assistance connecting with social services. The project takes a holistic approach that addresses both legal concerns and the underlying challenges affecting housing and income stability.

People seeking broader support can also explore NHREA’s California homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources. Visit the official HAP page to confirm current program details and access information.
