The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV) is a national organization focused solely on ending veteran homelessness. Based in Washington, D.C., NCHV shapes public policy, promotes collaboration, builds service-provider capacity, supports accountability, and manages a referral helpline for veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
NCHV’s policy work addresses barriers to safe, stable, affordable housing and emphasizes homelessness prevention, supportive services, permanent supportive housing, transitional housing, and VA housing programs. The coalition works with Congress, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and community partners to advance effective responses to veteran homelessness.
