Description

The Beacon is a Houston nonprofit serving individuals experiencing homelessness through essential and next-step services designed to support stability and housing. Its work includes daily meals, showers, laundry, mail access, device charging, Wi-Fi, referrals, civil legal aid, counseling and mentoring, and housing case management.

Through its Pathways Team and housing programs, The Beacon helps connect people with coordinated-entry assessments, benefits and income supports, community resources, housing navigation, and stabilization planning. Its programs also include diversion, rapid rehousing, and Brigid’s Hope, a transitional housing program for women ages 35 and older who have experienced homelessness and incarceration.
