Covenant House Texas provides shelter, supportive services, and a caring community for young people ages 18–24 experiencing homelessness in Houston. Its programs are designed to help youth move from immediate needs toward stability and independence. Learn more through the organization’s housing programs.
The drop-in center offers meals, laundry, clothing, showers, recreational activities, and access to a clinic. Support begins with a one-on-one connection with a case manager who helps assess needs and develop an individualized plan. Programs also welcome young adults who are parenting, along with their children up to age five.
Rights of Passage transitional housing helps residents strengthen independent-living skills such as budgeting and money management while working toward employment and a first apartment. Participants work, attend school, or pursue vocational training. For related assistance, review NHREA’s Texas homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources.
