Georgetown Ministry Center (GMC) is a Washington, D.C., organization serving individuals experiencing homelessness in the Georgetown area. Its work centers on a low-barrier community space where guests can meet basic needs and connect with practical support.
Through its Drop-In Center, GMC offers access to showers, bathrooms, laundry, computers, phone and mail services, meals, refreshments, enrichment activities, service referrals, and assistance navigating identification, housing opportunities, public benefits, and related resources. Its Street Outreach team builds relationships with people where they are and connects them with essential services and housing resources.
GMC also provides health and wellness support through psychiatric care, basic medical assessments, health counseling, referrals, and assistance with benefits-related evaluations. For broader public-benefit information, visit NHREA’s federal assistance resources. Visit GMC’s official programs page to confirm current program details and ways to connect.
