National Coalition for the Homeless
Description
We envision a world where every person has a safe, decent, affordable, and accessible home. Guided by this vision, our mission is to prevent and end homelessness while ensuring that the immediate needs of those experiencing housing instability are met and their civil rights are fully protected.
At the heart of our work is the belief that housing is a human right, as affirmed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 25, Section 1. We are committed to advancing both direct support and long-term solutions—providing shelter, resources, and advocacy that empower individuals and families to achieve stability, dignity, and independence.
By combining homelessness prevention programs, affordable housing advocacy, and community partnerships, we strive to break the cycle of poverty and create a future where safe and decent housing is accessible to all. Together, we are building pathways toward equity, justice, and lasting change.
