Mobile Loaves & Fishes

Founded in Austin in 1998, Mobile Loaves & Fishes is a Christian social outreach ministry serving people experiencing homelessness through food outreach, housing, community, and opportunities for meaningful work.

Its programs include a food truck ministry that distributes meals, clothing, hygiene products, and other life-sustaining items; Community First! Village, which provides affordable permanent housing and a supportive community for people coming out of chronic homelessness in Central Texas; and Community Works, which supports dignified income opportunities and skill-building for people who have experienced homelessness.

The organization also maintains a resource hub with information and connections to services related to homelessness, housing, healthcare, crisis support, and other community needs. People seeking additional assistance can review NHREA’s Texas homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources.
