Pathlight HOME, a registered service mark of Grand Ave Economic Community Development Corp., develops affordable housing solutions for homeless and low-income individuals in Central Florida. Serving Orlando since 1992, the organization renovates abandoned motel properties into housing and manages its own properties, drawing on experience in facility operations, resident management, and property oversight.
Its housing-focused services include on-site case management and supportive services designed to help residents maintain housing, build stability, and pursue more independent living when ready. Pathlight HOME also describes job training and economic opportunities as part of its broader approach to helping people move toward long-term self-sufficiency.
Through Pathlight Kitchen, the Culinary Training Program combines classroom instruction, hands-on kitchen training, and educational field trips in a 12-week course covering cooking techniques, meal preparation, kitchen safety, and commercial kitchen fundamentals. Visit Pathlight HOME’s official website for current program details, and see NHREA’s Florida homeless assistance resources and federal assistance resources for additional information.
