Belknap House

Belknap House is a family shelter in Laconia that provides safe shelter for families in Belknap County when children are especially at risk during homelessness. Its mission includes helping families move toward self-sufficiency and independence through education and access to community resources.

Programs address practical needs such as household budgeting, meal planning and nutrition, parenting and resilience, conversations about substance use, and tenant-landlord relationships. Housing-focused support helps parents build skills and community connections as they work toward independent living. The Family Mentoring and Resilience Program extends support after a family secures housing through mentoring and follow-up designed to help families maintain stability.
