Maine Homeless Veterans Alliance

Maine Homeless Veterans Alliance (MHVA) is a Maine nonprofit federally registered as a 501(c)(3) and established in 2012. Its mission is to provide assistance and resources to veterans of the United States armed forces, with a focus on those facing homelessness.

MHVA also works with at-risk veterans and educates the public about homelessness among the veteran community. As veterans transition from being unhoused to living independently, the organization helps furnish their homes with essentials such as beds, tables, cookware, bureaus, and televisions. MHVA coordinates the pickup, transport, and delivery of donated items. Its It Takes a Village 207 division is a community outreach program.
