At Home Is the Foundation (HIT Foundation) was born from a vision in 2002 when founder Mary witnessed the impact of poverty and inadequate housing on families in Preble County. Motivated by concern for the well-being and future of children affected by unstable living conditions, HIT Foundation was established in 2003 with a mission to ensure that everyone in Preble County has a safe and affordable place to call home. Since its inception, HIT Foundation has passionately pursued initiatives to provide quality housing, financial assistance, and supportive services aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty and housing insecurity. By partnering with community organizations, local government, and volunteers, HIT Foundation works tirelessly to improve health, education, and economic outcomes through the stability that secure housing provides.
