Description

Advocates for Homeless Families helps homeless and at-risk families in Frederick County, Maryland, work toward stable housing and self-sufficiency. Founded in 1988, the organization has housed and provided supportive services to more than 3,000 homeless adults and children.

Its Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing Program provides structured housing and individualized case management for eligible families working toward independent living. Support may include education and career-training access, referrals to community resources, and limited assistance with transportation, childcare, or emergencies.

The organization also offers a Rapid Rehousing Program with short-term housing support, case management, budgeting assistance, and connections to workforce and community services. Visit the Maryland homeless assistance guide or federal assistance resources for additional information, and consult the official Advocates for Homeless Families website for current program details.
