Description

Night of Peace Family Shelter Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeless families with children find stability, hope, and a pathway to permanent housing. We provide emergency shelter, meals, case management, showers, laundry facilities, and essential resources to support families as they work toward self-sufficiency.
Founded in 2005 by the late Reverend Dr. Colin Phillips, Night of Peace began as a faith-based response to homelessness in Baltimore County, with Salem United Methodist Church serving as the host location. Since then, our shelter has become a vital community resource, offering families not just a safe place to stay but also the tools and guidance they need to rebuild their lives.
Over the years, Night of Peace has helped more than 1,500 individuals overcome homelessness. In just the past two years, we have sheltered over 300 individuals, with more than 100 families and individuals successfully transitioning into permanent housing and a fresh start.
You can be part of our mission to end family homelessness in Baltimore County:
Make a Donation to directly support shelter operations and programs.
Become a Board Member and help guide the future of our organization. If interested, please contact our board secretary at [info@nightofpeace.org](mailto:info@nightofpeace.org).
Together, we can continue the legacy of Reverend Dr. Colin Phillips by offering families in crisis a true night of peace and a brighter tomorrow.
