Beyond Shelter Frederick was founded by local faith congregations in 1981 to address homelessness in Frederick County. The organization provides emergency shelters, financial assistance for rent, utilities, security deposits, prescriptions, and emergency dental care. Beyond Shelter also offers case management and programming to help clients overcome barriers to employment and stable housing, empowering individuals and families to achieve long-term self-sufficiency. As the county’s largest provider of shelter and homeless prevention services, Beyond Shelter Frederick is committed to transforming lives and strengthening the community.
